Please note: This option is only available with some Cammy brand cameras.

How can I access the Home Alarm privacy settings?

For Home Alarm privacy settings, go to the "Alarms" tab in the Cammy app and tap on the "Settings" icon. Under Settings you will see "Only Record When Armed". Here you are able to control when your cameras record events. When your alarm is disarmed (you or another alarm user is around) your cameras will either:

  • "No, always record": Cameras will keep recording motion detected events but will not alert you.
  • "Yes, turn off cameras when disarmed": Cameras will stop capturing motion detected events until the alarm is armed again. This is handy setting, in case you or your family members feel camera shy and would rather have the cameras off, when you are home.

What do the Home Alarm settings do?

In your Home Alarm settings, you can manage the users of the service, modify the camera settings and when your cameras record, set the alarm perimeter, allocate emergency contacts, edit your alarm schedule and enable Main Device mode (if applicable).

Here is a brief breakdown of what each section of the app means.

Users

  • Manage Users: From here you can add new users by adding their email address or remove existing users by clicking on the "Trash" icon next to the user's name.

When you add a user to your account, they will get a confirmation email and be able to log in to the Cammy app with their email address and a temporary password. The user can view all the cameras on the Home Alarm and Cammy will arm / disarm according to all the shared users locations, as long as they have the app and are logged in.

Settings

  • Name: Name your Home Alarm here, feel free to be as creative or practical as you wish!

  • Cameras: Choose which active cameras you would like to add or remove from home alarm alerts. Simply select or deselect a camera by moving the slider to the on or off position.

  • Alerts: Select the type of alerts you would like to receive. Choose between phone or email notifications – you can choose to have both if you wish. If you choose to receive a phone call, you will be able to enter your phone details and the preferred time after an alert you would like a call. This option is at no extra cost to you!

  • Privacy: Control when your cameras record events. When your alarm is disarmed, you can choose to:

    • "No, always record": Cameras will keep recording motion detected events but will not alert you.
    • "Yes, turn off cameras when disarmed": Cameras will stop capturing motion detected events until the alarm is armed again. This is handy setting, in case you or your family members feel camera shy and would rather have the cameras off, when you are home.

If you would like to have different cameras with different privacy settings you will need to create different Home Alarms with your personal preferences.

Location

  • Location: If you slide the bar to the right, this means that your alarm status is based off your location. If it is to the left, Cammy will not auto arm or disarm, but rather be dependent on your schedule or be always armed or always disarmed.
  • Edit Location: Set the location radius of your Home Alarm.
  • Sensitivity: Change how sensitive your alarm is to your location.
  • Use This Devices Location: Set the device that will be used for automatic arm / disarm. We suggest you set your smartphone as the main device as you will most likely always take this with you. Every person that has access to the alarm will be able to set their own main device and be able to add multiple devices to the alarm.

How can I delete events?

To delete selected events, go to the "Events" tab of the Cammy app. From here tap on the "More" icon on the screen and select the events to be deleted. To delete selected, click on the "Trash" icon on the screen.

How do I share cameras and alarms?

To share a camera, go to the "Cameras" tab of the Cammy app. From the list of cameras, choose the one you would like to share and click on the "More" icon of the camera you wish to share. This will bring up a menu where you can select "Share".

To share the Home Alarm, add a user in "Home Alarm Settings" (please refer to "What do the Home Alarm settings do?").

Sharing a camera will give access for the user to view all motion detected events captured by the camera but will not give them access to the alarm notifications. Likewise, sharing the alarm will only give the user access to Home Alarm notifications and the single intruder alert event but not all other motion detected events captured by the cameras. You can choose to share both if you want to give another user full access.

How do I view multiple camera feeds?

You can view all motion detected events picked up by your cameras by going to the "Events" tab where they will be displayed in chronological order. You cannot live view more than one camera at a time.

How do I use two-way audio?

To use two-way audio you will need to access live view (please refer to "How do I use remote live view?") and click the "Microphone" icon on the screen.

Please note: This option is only available with some Cammy brand cameras.

Having trouble accessing your live view remotely?

Please note, that you can only access remote live view if you have a Cammy Camera. If you have a Cammy camera and are having trouble with live view, please ensure your camera is connected to Wi-Fi or a reliable network and that your phone has either a Wi-Fi or data connection. Please contact our support team to get extra help if required.

How can I download events?
